About these terms

These terms cover the use of this website and the enquiries you send through it. The agreement for the tattoo or piercing itself is the paperwork you sign in the shop on the day, and where the two differ, the paperwork in the shop is what governs.

The website

Everything here — text, photographs of work, and the design of the site — belongs to The Widow’s Son Tattoo Co. or is used with permission. Please do not copy it or reuse it commercially without asking.

We keep the site accurate, but we cannot promise it is free of errors or available without interruption.

Quotes and estimates

Anything you are told through this website, by email or over the phone before we have seen you is an estimate. Size, placement, detail, the condition of the skin and how many sittings a piece needs can all change it. The price is settled with your artist before the machine is switched on.

Nothing on this site is a price list, and no page here is an offer capable of acceptance.

Appointments

We work by appointment only, for tattoos and for piercings. A deposit holds your appointment and comes off the price of the work on the day; the amount depends on the piece and is agreed with you when you book.

If you need to move an appointment, call the shop on 610-323-4626 as far in advance as you can. Deposit and cancellation terms are explained to you when you book.

Age and identification

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to every appointment. We tattoo and pierce only in accordance with Pennsylvania law, which requires a parent or legal guardian to be present and consent in person for anyone under eighteen. Call the shop before booking so we can tell you exactly what to bring.

Our right to decline

We may decline work. That includes anyone who cannot produce ID, anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and any design or placement we do not believe will hold up or that we are not willing to put our name on. If we turn work away, we will tell you why.

Healing and aftercare

Tattoos and piercings are wounds while they heal, and how they settle depends substantially on what you do afterwards. Your artist gives you aftercare in person before you leave. Follow it. If something looks or feels wrong, call the shop, and see a doctor if you have any concern about an infection.

Photographs of your work

We may photograph work we do and show it on this site or on our social media. Tell us if you would rather we did not, before or afterwards, and we will respect that.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our liability arising out of this website is limited to what you have paid us.

Links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for those sites or what appears on them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
