Sixteen Years,
One Trade

Eric Estrada owns The Widow’s Son and does most of the tattooing in it. Sixteen years in, he works in every style that comes through the door, but the two he is known for are American traditional and black and grey.

Traditional, done properly, is unforgiving: the line either holds or it does not, and there is nowhere to hide. Black and grey is the same problem from the other direction — everything depends on how far the black is pushed down and how cleanly it fades. Both are what sixteen years actually buys you.

He is also the shop’s cover-up man. Send a clear photo taken in daylight and he will tell you straight whether it can be covered, whether it wants reworking first, or whether you are better off with laser and a conversation later. Nobody here is going to promise you a miracle to get you in the chair.
