Denise pierces at The Widow’s Son. Ears — lobes, helix, flat and the rest of the cartilage — along with nose and the other standard placements. If you are not sure what the piercing you want is called, describe it or bring a picture; she will know.
She will talk you through where it is going to sit, what the jewellery does while it heals, and what the piercing is going to ask of you for the next few months — before anything is opened. Nothing gets rushed.
How it works
Booking a Piercing
Same as the tattoo side: appointment only, so you are not standing around waiting on a chair.
Get in touch
Call the shop or send the form. Tell us which piercing you want, or describe it if you do not know the name.
Pick a time
We book you in so Denise has the room and the time to do it properly.
Come prepared
Photo ID, something to eat beforehand, and clothing that gets us to the spot.
Get pierced
Placement checked and marked, jewellery shown to you, aftercare explained before you leave.
Practical
Before You Come In
- Bring a photo ID. Anyone under eighteen needs a parent or legal guardian present with their own ID, and Pennsylvania law decides the rest.
- Eat beforehand. A piercing takes seconds, but people who arrive on an empty stomach are the ones who go grey afterwards.
- Wear something that gets you to the spot without a wrestling match.
- If you have an existing piercing you are unhappy with, come and let Denise look at it before you decide what to do about it.
- Call ahead about jewellery. If you want to bring your own, we need to see it first.
